The influence of the cooler Forest Grove vineyard is evident immediately. You get the Margaret River power but there is a controlled restraint through the medium bodied. Floral notes of red berry and bay leaf with subtle notes of minerally graphite. The small hit of cab franc has contributed to the scented aroma. Finely balanced with a wonderful oak and fruit c combination supported by those sinewy chalky tannins. Excellent wine.
