Talijancich Wines genesis in 1926 when Jim Talijancich arrived at Fremantle from Croatia. The Swan Valley property was bought in 1932 and after Jim died, his 13-year-old son Peter left school to work in the vineyard to begin 48 consecutive vintages. Son James joined the business in 1977 and with his wife Hilda, purchased the winery and vineyard in 1998. Talijancich has built a reputation for some of Australia's greatest fortified wines, but at the same time continues to produce excellent table wines from the biodynamically farmed vineyards.
