Erl Happ began making wine at the Happs homestead on Commonage Road in 1978 and later became a pioneer in cool climate viticultural using alternative varieties south of Margaret River, now produced under the Three Hills label. The wines are made by Mark Warren in the same hand-built, mud-brick winery built by Happ. The cellar door also features the outstanding pottery produced at Happs.
