This central Italian variety as found a perfect home in the Perth hills. This is one of the few made in Australia, and it is one of the best. Soft and supple with rich plump dark fruit flavours. After open fermentation it goes into a combination of ceramic eggs and hogsheads. The result is an integrated seamless and supple palate with fine tannins and a nice subtle hit of oak.
