Snake + Herring Tainted Love Rosé 2023

This is a bright, fresh, and stylish little rosé that has been made very much in the European mould. So, it's finer, more restrained, and with less overt fruit, but it still has texture and flavour on its fine, persistent palate. It's all Syrah from a single vineyard in Margaret River. After pressing, it was barrel fermented to driest chips, accentuating the fine, savoury, minerally characters. The richness and texture come from some extended time on lees, an increasingly common aspect of Australian winemaking these days with rosés. It's an impressive little wine, perfect for summer drinking.
