Snake + Herring Corduroy Chardonnay 2023

I'd have to say this is as good as any Corduroy Chardonnays yet released from these guys. Of course, it comes from a very good year, which was well suited to the variety and from a vineyard at Karridale, south of the town of Margaret River. It has an engaging floral aroma with traces of brioche and cashew, with some richer stone fruit and slightly struck match edges. The palate is less overt than some previous vintages and is built on fine fruit with a precise nutty citrus and nectarine combination. Sustained with a fine, lingering minerality and acidity. This is an excellent wine and it does have some cellaring potential if you wish.
