Bacchus Family Wine chardonnay 2023

This comes from a single vineyard east of Cowaramup, with the handpicked fruit being pressed directly to French oak for a cool fermentation and full malolactic. It was left on lees without sulphur with regular lees stirring. It is an impressive wine with aromas of brioche and crunchy biscuit with a savoury creamy stone fruit character. The palate has a steely minerally thread which balances the rich fruit concentration. Impressive wine.
