Fervor Wignalls pinot noir 2025

A powerful and expressive pinot noir with great poise, structure and presence. Beautiful cherry and raspberry notes on the nose are complemented by some slightly funky mushroom characters. There is a wonderful sense of balance and structure, with a slightly quartz-like character adding another dimension. The wine sees larger-format oak, with about 35% new oak, giving it further shape and depth. It comes from the old Wignalls vineyard at Albany, which is clearly capable of producing pinot noir of considerable character and intensity.
