Brookland Valley Reserve chardonnay Limited Release 2024

This is such a good chardonnay, displaying wonderful fruit and very astute winemaking to get the best of it. All hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed, and then barrel fermented with plenty of time on lees to build texture, richness and flavour intensity. Beautiful aromatics of lemon meringue, crème brûlée and light citrus notes. The palate reveals deeper concentration within a quite linear framework that focuses through to its long finish. The palate has superb length, driven by that fine acid and deeply concentrated fruit. First-rate wine.
