Simpson Estate Jenny Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

A wine that strongly reflects a powerhouse vintage, with firm tannins a feature. The black fruits on the nose burst out of the glass, alongside subtle raspberry and brick-dust characters. The palate is tightly held by those tannins, but there is ample fruit to balance, and the oak treatment marries perfectly to complete the integration. There’s something classically Bordeaux about this. An excellent wine.
