Menzies Vineyard chardonnay 2024

This is a slightly different expression to the 2023 vintage. The aromas are more restrained and show more minerally oyster shell, lemon-scented, lightly butterscotch characters. The palate is quite a deal tighter and leaner, which may have resulted from slightly earlier picking in this warm year. Still, it's a wine of poise and what appears to be typical vineyard power extending through to a very long finish. Certainly, needs a little more time to really move into its work.
