Menzies Vineyard is on Metricup Road in Wilyabrup. It is one of the few high-density vineyards in Australia, planted at 1m x 1m, 10,000 vines to the hectare. The varieties are cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot 181, malbec and chardonnay. The vineyard is run on organic principles, fruit is hand-picked and sorted and wine produced on site. The goal is to make great West Australian cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay, closely followed by malbec and merlot. Rob Menzies does all the viticultural and wine work with the help and guidance of Rob Mann, who is an important part of the business achieving its goals into the future.
