Wise Leaf Series Reserve chardonnay 2021

The extra time in bottle is evident immediately with the bright golden hues in the glass. The nose is starting to move into that lovely toasty marmalady character, but not excessively, while retaining its citrusy lemon characters and subtle gun smokiness. Palate is textural and rich, but with a fine savouriness adding balance and precision. If you're wanting a wine that's sitting right in its drinking zone right now, this is hard to beat.
