Wise Leaf Series fumé blanc 2025

This warmish year has certainly produced fruit of terrific intensity and weight. In this case, the sauvignon blanc was sourced out of Karridale, well to the south of Margaret River, and was wild fermented in French barriques with lees stirring and 10 months of maturation. A slightly nutty oak influence is subordinated into the fruit, and so it never dominates. There's a nice floral fruit note on the nose, while the palate still retains a zingy edginess with a subtle sea spray nuance.
