Flowstone Queen of the Earth cabernet sauvignon 2022

Some very good cabernets emerged from the 2022 season in Margaret River, and this is certainly one of them. It's a most stylish and refined wine of great poise and elegance. The nose reveals a mix of blackcurrant, oyster shell, graphite and a subtle olive tapenade combination. The palate is still quite tightly wound, with fine, integrated chalky tannins and fine-grained oak holding the intense fruit close. This is a cabernet certainly built for extended cellaring, although that impeccable balance and integration certainly supports current drinking.
