The idea here was to leave the fruit on the vine a little longer to concentrate the flavors, and this has contributed to its power, depth, and concentration. Dark plummy blackberry fruits with a little tarry licorice and some nice spices. Palate is delightfully elegant with a seamless velvety feel, and those red fruits start to pick up and gather momentum through to a sustained finish. There’s a real flavor burst here delivered with polish. Excellent wine of great structure and presentation.
