Loam Pinot Noir 2023

From the first take on the nose this is impressive. Nelson gets the fruit from Denmark. The nose bursts open with a wild ride of cherry, spices and dark plum. Then the palate. This is a structured and almost robust wine, but of course it’s pinot so there is refinement and elegance as it gathers and releases the palate through its driving energy. Chalky and dry on the finish for now, but as it ages, more of the velvety sweet fruit will sneak out.
