Ferngrove Stirlings Ellen Peak chardonnay 2023

A small production wine sourced from a single block. Whole bunch pressed, then matured in French oak puncheons. The aroma shows lemon curd and brioche with a fine citrusy, lightly grapefruit edge. The palate is beautifully textured and finely integrated, with an elegant balance of oak and fruit. One of the most promising wines yet from Ferngrove and a strong endorsement of the direction this producer is now taking. High-class stuff.
