This one comes from Denmark and immediately shows a level of sophistication and complexity that have become synonymous with these Family Reserve chardonnays. The vintage is one that has delivered plenty of flavour intensity, and this has been harnessed into a wine that is elegant, controlled and refined. Butterscotch and stone fruit nuances on the nose. And then a palate that adds a cracked-seashell minerality to the rich, textured flavours of creamy stone fruit with a slight savoury edge. High-class wine.
