Plantagenet Three Lions chardonnay 2025

This is from the Rocky Horror vineyard, planted in 1999. It is a more sophisticated chardonnay than you might expect at this price point. It receives a little oak influence, but the emphasis is firmly on the fruit. It has a steely mineral structure with a palate that is still tight and linear. Having said that, it has excellent fruit intensity and impressive palate length, finishing with bright, zingy acidity.
