Another first-rate example of this variety from Myattsfield, which has established something of a benchmark for vermentino in recent years. The aim has been to really retain those fresh apple, pear and citrus characters, and it’s done that admirably, especially on the nose. Then the palate is so vibrant within its light framework, delivering a nice cut pear and pithy lemon character. Terrific example of this Italian variety that’s so well suited to our climate.
