Forest Hill Mount Barker riesling 2026

Although the vineyards at Forest Hill go back to 1965, this one is sourced from several sites. It really is a quite beautiful wine, capturing the vintage, which was very good for white wines, rather well. Spicy lemon zest and mineral notes on the nose are intense. Then the palate, as always, is powerfully defined and linear, with tremendous mineral, spicy intensity driving through to the finish. A classy riesling representing great current drinking, but with cellaring potential.
