Castelli Il Liris Chardonnay 2021

This range has been one of my favourites since being introduced a few years ago. It aims to push comes boundaries especially in the winemaking cellar. So much happening here. On the nose honeycomb, struck match and gun flint with a fine edge of lemon and grapefruit. Then the palate releases with a powerful statement of textured layered fruit displaying a deep intensity with a dry savoury and slightly flinty finish. This is complex with a capital C.
