Amelia Park malbec 2023

Gosh I do like this wine. Malbec has become one of my favourite varietals since it started to stand up on its own and no longer be part of a blend as it usually is with cabernet. This one is so beautifully presented, with lovely aromatics of mulberry and red fruits and a little leafiness adding complexity. It's soft, it's supple, with fine tannins and just a little bit of black pepper sprinkled across the top. The palate is bright with an energy and a drive that dances a mighty tune through to its sustained finish. Just love it.
