Woody Nook Wines Gallagher's Choice Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Consistently one of the best cabernets released in Margaret River, and this one from the great '23 vintage is certainly one of the best I have seen. The smooth, seamless balanced integration does feature so prominently. Aromas of blackcurrant, slight bay leaf, and a little chocolatey black olive. And then a palate that picks up all the dark fruits but just has that little bit of dried herbiness on the finish, with a little leaf adding further life and complexity. The oak and fruit combination with those fine chalky tannins is spot on. First-rate wine and terrific cellaring.
