Plantagenet Wyjup shiraz 2021

Here is a classic Mount Barker shiraz from this cooler year. Gets 40% new oak and is gently extracted with some whole bunches kept separate until blending. It’s quite a bright and brilliant wine with vibrant colour. Had 18 months in French oak. Has a brambly black fruit character with a dark plummy prune-like character, adding palate richness. There is a slightly iron-filing minerality.
