Jilyara The Williams Block chardonnay 2022

From the first take on the nose you can almost smell the sea spray from the cliffs overlooking the Indian Ocean nearby. This is a wonderfully pristine and pure expression of Margaret River chardonnay. A combination of the best barrels, it shows lovely fruit notes of fresh brioche, lemon curd, light quince and a savoury flourish on the finish. It has a linear structure and is precisely focused through to its long finish. The balance of fruit and crisp acidity defines the wine.
