Singlefile Family Reserve Single Vineyard pinot noir 2023

Okay, we've got something here. This comes off the family vineyard in Denmark. These vines are now pretty mature and pumping out some classy fruit. The aroma delivers so much of the truffly, slightly funky earthy notes that you get in pinot. It's engaging from the outset, and then into the palate, which is medium-weight but so complex and loaded with a deep, lingering fruit intensity. It delivers so much more. There is an almost layered complexity on the palate with a truffly mushroom, spicy, damp earth, and forest floor character. The oak is perfectly weighted. The tannins are silky fine. And the palate—just velvety smooth.
