Gralyn Estate Artizan Rare Muscat

The colour is extraordinary: deep brownie, tawny, liquid caramel. The nose goes into another rarefied area, with layers of deep complexity: lush fruitcake, macerated raisin, dark chocolate and a little toffee. And then the palate shows that old-wine influence, but there is a freshness and vibrancy that gives it brightness through to a very, very long finish. Beautifully balanced, combining both the old and new wine influences in the blend.
