Fair amount of hands-on winemaking here with handpicking, hand plunging and extended skin contact before basket pressing to oak of which 35% was new. The 18 months in oak has contributed to a structure that will suit cellaring. Has a distinct graphite character on the nose with a dried herb and blackcurrant combination. The palate is still tightly held but the warm flesh of cabernet is in safe hands.
