Grace Farm Reserve cabernet sauvignon 2019

These cabernets from Grace Farm all show wonderful refinement and polish, with the fruit deeply intense but generally presented with a medium to full body and creating an elegant expression of cabernet. This one's now had 6 years in bottle, and it's come together as you would expect quite beautifully. The nose shows those primary blackcurrant characters, some nice florals, a little dark chocolate, and just a final flick of red fruits. The palate is seamlessly integrated with fine chalky tannins and fine-grained oak cradling it perfectly. It appears that the addition of about 10% Malbec has brought those subtle red fruit characters, which complement the largely black fruit characters of the cabernet.
