Gilberts Reserve shiraz 2023

Without doubt, one of the very best shiraz to come off this superb little vineyard, which was planted back in 1985. The aroma shows lovely spicy dark chocolate and ripe plummy notes, with some deeper black fruit evident. The palate is seamlessly integrated, with those spices emerging and the fine chalky tannins and subtle oak integration carrying through to the finish. Medium-weight but rich in flavour, and a superb example of both this region and the vintage.
