This captures everything that is the Swan valley. Griffiths gets the fruit from his own, now mature, vineyard, and from nearby quality shiraz growers. It has everything. Deep plummy, black fruits on the palate with a dark chocolate and lightly red fruit influenced aroma. The palate is sublime. Soft and supple but with fine chalky tannins and perfectly weighted oak supporting its deep concentration. These Reserve wines can age for many years and I suspect this one has many ahead of it. One of Griffiths' best.
