Sittella Avant Garde tempranillo 2024

This exciting wine comes from a single vineyard in the Swan Valley, where there are five clones of this variety. It gets some interesting winemaking after handpicking and bunch sorting. It was tossed into open-top fermenters, then matured in seasoned oak. All of this retains the strongly fruit-driven characters of this variety. It was a warm year, and yet, it handled the heat exceptionally well. Notes of red berry and licorice. The palate displays soft and generous fruit flavours of medium weight, with a juicy succulence that is typical of this variety. It's a lovely current-drinking wine, with vibrant, plush red fruit characters so evident.
