Sittella Avant Garde Golden Mile grenache 2023

Grenache in a good season in the Swan Valley is pretty hard to beat. A lot of detail has gone into making this wine, with vine selection, bunch selection, and then handpicking before further hand sorting. It's a dry-grown single vineyard of old bush vines, with the fruit wild yeast fermented, then bottled unfined and unfiltered using the gravity flow method. The result is a wine of medium weight, exceptional balance, and thoroughly delightful pure fruit characters. Floral red fruits, rose petals, and a little of that damp earthiness on the nose. Then a bright, energetic palate delivers delicious red fruits. It's a cracking good wine.
