This estate is in the heart of Pemberton’s Southern Forests and was identified early as one of the best sites for chardonnay and pinot noir. The estate has supplied some of Western Australia’s finest labels since the early 1990s, and from 2013 produced a ‘small batch’ wine as Below & Above under the direction of Bruce Dukes. As part of an improvement program, 6.6 hectares were re-planted to Gingin chardonnay and a number of pinot noir clones. Nothing is overlooked and no corners cut as recent wines are showing great promise. Merlot also has great potential.
