Bacchus Family Wine is a family-owned and operated, small premium producer from the Margaret River Region. They produce two single-vineyard wines, a Bordeaux-style red blend and a chardonnay. They are small batch, and traditionally made wines, produced using the old technique of making good wines in the vineyard, so that the winemaking process is more custodial than manipulated. The chardonnay is fermented in French hogsheads and spends 10 months on lees, while the red varietals go through fermentation in small open top vessels, hand plunged, basket-pressed and aged for 18 months in fine French oak barrels.
